How to Register Your Research Outputs in HUSCAP
Who Can Register and What Types of Research Outputs Are Accepted

Registration Procedure
Register via Web Form
- Please send the materials you wish to make publicly available via email to: repo[at]lib.hokudai.ac.jp

The library will check the copyright status with the publisher and register the material in HUSCAP.
- Many publishers allow authors to deposit their final accepted manuscripts (post-peer review versions) [see diagram A below] in institutional repositories like HUSCAP.
Register via Web Form
- Research Output Submission Form (For Internal Use Only)
- As with email submissions, the library will check the copyright status with the publisher before registration.
Registering Research Data Accompanying Academic Papers
- You may also register research data that accompanies academic publications. Please follow the same procedure as above and send via email.
- Files exceeding 4GB cannot be registered; in such cases, we may guide you to use an external data repository.

Registering University Bulletins
HUSCAP widely accepts and publishes university bulletins and research reports issued by Hokkaido University.
If you are considering making existing or upcoming bulletins available online, we encourage you to make use of HUSCAP.
Registering Theses and Dissertations
Doctoral Dissertations (Awarded in or after FY2013)
Doctoral dissertations awarded by Hokkaido University in or after FY2013 are required to be published via HUSCAP.

Doctoral Dissertations (Before FY2012), Master's Theses, and Undergraduate Theses
Please send the electronic file of the thesis along with the thesis registration application form.
For undergraduate theses, the application form must include the approval of the primary supervisor of the degree examination.
