How to look for the right journal for submitting your paper

Here are some assistance tools for finding a more suitable journal to which you submit your paper. These tools search for journals whose fields are more relevant to your paper from words and phrases contained in its title and abstract. The search is done in English.

Publisher provided tools

These tools are provided by publishers that issue academic journals.
The scope of search is limited to the journals issued by publishers that provide such tools. However, these tools may allow you to get detailed information that only these publishers have, such as the acceptance rate and the cost of making your paper available as open access (the article processing charge or APC). The target fields are those covered by the journals issued by the publishers that provide such tools.

Elsevier Journal Finder
Elsevier Journal Finder produces search results in terms of journal impact factor (Journal Citation Reports or JCR), CiteScore (Scopus), review time, acceptance rate, publication time, embargo period for Green OA, and APC, which represents the cost of making your paper available as open access.
See also “Publish with us” on the website of Elsevier.
Springer Journal Suggester
Springer Journal Suggester produces search results in terms of journal impact factor (JCR), time to first decision (average number of days), acceptance rate, and type of journal (OA/subscription/hybrid).
Wiley Journal Finder (Beta)
Wiley Journal Finder (Beta) produces search results in terms of journal impact factor (JCR), JCR ranking by field, and OA option availability.

Tools provided by non-publishers

Provided by Research Square, JournalGuide chiefly covers journals in biology and medicine. Its search results show the impact factor (JCR), review time, publication time and cost, and OA option availability for each of the matched journals. (Such information may not be available). By registering your account, you can save the matched results of your choice.
