Support for submitting open access papers
Information on discounts on article processing charges (APCs)
Members (faculty and students) of Hokkaido University (HU) who submit open access papers to journals to which HU is subscribed are eligible for the APC discount program.
Authors who are members of academic societies that issue such journals may also be eligible. Check the submission rules of the journal to which you are submitting a paper.

Open Access via HUSCAP
Researchers affiliated with Hokkaido University can comply with open access mandates
by depositing their scholarly articles and underlying data in HUSCAP.
Articles can be made publicly available in HUSCAP after any applicable embargo period,
depending on the publisher's copyright policies.
The library will assist in checking the publisher's copyright policies
regarding open access.
