機密解除文書を中心にアメリカ政府の外交関連文書を収録するデータベースです。
重要な国家政策の形成・施行過程に関するアメリカ政府機関の文書を収集・公開する 非営利団体、The National Security Archive（NSA、アメリカ国家安全保障アーカイブ)とProQuest社の協力の下、NSAの所蔵文献の中から特に重要な文献を選び、学術研究向けに編纂して提供します。
データベース化に際しては、情報公開法を積極的に活用してより包括的に資料を入手し、最新の機密解除文書を多数収録しています。
収録する資料は、NSAが選抜した専門委員団が明確な選定基準に基づいて選定し、さらに、学術利用に耐えうる書誌索引情報を付与しています。（提供元：ProQuest社）詳しくは提供元の下記サイトをご参照ください。
